A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1) (Movie Tie-In Edition)

A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin This was a pretty great book. I wouldn't recommend it to young people though, or at least know a couple things about sex first or you won't understand haha. ANYWAY... It's was really unexpected. Intriguing twists and turns throughout. I was kinda suspecting that about Danerys' stones before that happened at the end though. I honestly wasn't expecting Stark to die but it makes sense, leadership is all on the next generation now. I absolutely hated Sansa throughout the entire book. If she had just stood up for Arya, instead of blaming her, the whole book would've turned out differently! That unappreciative whiny brat. I'm happy Lady was killed. Sansa deserved it. And Poor little Bran, getting shoved out a window ;( could've broken my heart! The characters where well described. I felt emotions for the situations the were placed in. Obviously not all of the emotions were good *cough cough* SANSA *cough* but it's better than feeling nothing, right? I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on the next book! All Hail the King of the North!!

The Demigod Diaries (Heroes of Olympus)

The Demigod Diaries - Rick Riordan Thank you Rick, for writing yet another great Demigod book! I loved that we got to see a softer side of Luke, in his past. An adorable mini Annabeth

Days of Blood and Starlight

Days of Blood and Starlight - At the moment.... I honestly can't remember as much as I would like about the book ;/ Kaoru was pretty tricky and sly in this book, I LOVED IT! Zuze and Mik are the most adorable couples of all time

Chibi Vampire: v. 14

Chibi Vampire, Vol. 14 - Yuna Kagesaki Oh my gosh this manga was so cute! It was pretty hard to suffer those gaps in between volumes 1 and 14. I just wanted to know what was going to happen next! I the whole manga was really sweet. The characters fit really well together- truly a great cast. It was quite comedic with Karin being a Vampire the GIVES blood while her family are normal vampires, but it had its serious moments as well. The ending as far as them being a couple goes was quite apparent but who it happens and the ending was quite an unexpected twist. A very enjoyable read :D

D.N.Angel Vol 1: v. 1

D.N.Angel, Vol. 1 - Yukiru Sugisaki D.N.Angel was an ok manga... Nowhere near my favorites- at this point at least. So basically this kid, named Daisuke, turns into this Handsome Super Amazing phantom thief named Dark. He turns whenever he starts thinking about his first crush/the girl he likes. I'm not sure which... There's 2 girls, they're twins, and that bit was confusing. But he DOES turn, and he steals priceless artifacts from museums an such that are all from a certain family... Not sure if they MADE the art or if they protect it or something? And for some reason, the commander in charge of the police is a boy in Daisuke's class. Daisuke also owns a rabbit fuzzy thing- not too sure how to describe it- named Wiz. It can transform into a ton of things including people and can talk in Daisuke-form. Wiz is also Dark's wings. The whole things wasn't very well explained and over all not that great- which is why I gave it only 3 stars. It WAS interesting in some parts which is why it doesn't deserve any lower and I was bored so I DID in fact read a couple more volumes, which made me a bit more confused- oh well haha

Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies - William Golding Lord of the Flies was a pretty good book school-wise. Jack is an evil genius. The Id. When a bunch of british boys are stranded in an island, he is the one that awakens everyone primal instinct killing pigs and being savages. Piggy is one of the only kids with any sense. The SuperEgo. but he has "as-mar" and is this fat kid with glasses. they make fun of him constantly but need him around to start fires with his lenses. Ralph, the Ego, is an inbetween average kid who everyone elects as Chief. He always talks about how they need to keep a fire going so that they can get rescued. Ironically, after they murder Piggy the boys are hunting down Ralph and decide to smoke him out of the islands forest. Jack was burning the WHOLE island down to search for Ralph to be head him on a stick for all the boys to see. If they weren't rescued the boys would have NOTHING. Well, Ralph got the fire he was always asking for and a British navel officer rescues them cause they could see the island burning. So they go from their boys war to the real world war against Germany. The "Devil" that Simon and Ralph see, a pig's head on a stick that Jack left in an offering for "the beast" was very interesting. They were all scared f the beast and never seeing things for what they really are. Leading the boys to questions themselves, or go to their primal instincts. Simon knows that the beast is really themselves and as he's trying to get his message across he's stabbed, beaten and bitten to death in a frenzy. The book seems simple enough but there was a lot of deep symbolism and goes through human's true nature. However, it was still read for school and it still needed to be dissected for an essay which ruined the experience for me so it has to be 3 instead of 4 stars. Apparently the whole bloodletting kids and stuff made this book a major controversy and puts this on the list of banned books.

Until Death Do Us Part, Vol. 1 (Until Death Do Us Part, #1)

Until Death Do Us Part, Vol. 1 - Hiroshi Takashige, たかしげ 宙, DOUBLE-S Ok so I just finished Until Death Do Us Part, part 1. I think it's a reprinted version of Volumes 1&2 combined? Hold on I gotta finish this later...

Rosario + Vampire 9

Rosario + Vampire 9 - Akihisa Ikeda, Aurore Galy ....Ok totally wasn't expecting Hokuto to be a human turn vampire just like Taukune. You got me there Akihisa Ikeda! I also didn't expect Kiriya to be the Vampire that's corrupted Hokuto either... The Festival was hilarious! The Mizore and Kurumu's mothers meeting Tsukune haha. And him really only wanting to be with Moka... And Mizore understanding that and make Ice Doll's of Tsukune to be with Kurumu's mom and Mizore's mom. Mizore, even with your faults you're still my fav! Though I want Tsukune to be with Moka...

Rosario+Vampire volume 6

Rosario+Vampire, Vol. 6 - Akihisa Ikeda Awwwww YEAH! Tsukune came to save that day, and damn did he look SEXY while doing it! Cheers for Vampire Tsukune! Normal him is a whimp though... And isn't very cute until in badass mode. And ten that Exorcist dude came in to lock up his powers :/ I mean it DID save his life... But still.

Rosario and Vampire volume 5 (Rosario+vampire)

Rosario+Vampire, Vol. 5 - Akihisa Ikeda So now there's yet ANOTHER girl in love with Tsukune... What a bore. At least she's cooler than the others HAHAHAHA see what I did there? You would if you've read it! In all seriousness though I DO like her best, after Moka. But Moka's all wishy-washy. Mizore does what best for Tsukune, even if it's not in her best interest of win in him over. And she has a sense of style.

Bleach: v. 8

Bleach, Vol. 08: The Blade and Me - Tite Kubo It was so obvious that he'd become a Soul Reaper... This whole book was practically unnecessary... But still awesome! The dude with the cool striped hat... Great in battle! He was kicking Ichigo's but in this intense moment he finally talks with his sword-thingy and learns it's name! Ice-Cube cool!

Macbeth (Folger Shakespeare Library Series)

Macbeth - William Shakespeare I don't typically like these older books, with poetry and their weird talk, but this one was pretty good. Macbeth killed some people, then killed a bunch more. Lady Macbeth was like 'whoooo let's go kill the king' but then she starts to feel guilty while Macbeth feels less guilty. The witches were awesome. "Double, Double. toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble'! Pretty intense stuff. Kind of hilarious how they tricked him and how Macbeth was so easily defeated.

Perfect Girls (Replica 4)

Perfect Girls (Replica 4) - Marilyn Kaye I thought this series was pretty good so far, granted, i skipped books 2 and 3.... i didn't realize this was part of a series! I got books 4 and 1 from my cousin a long time ago, along with a whole box of books, and i read them a long time ago too. So in all that book confusion i read books out of order, and randomly find my childhood books on Goodreads! Anyway... from what i remember, Amy was some scientific project and has like a crescent moon mark on her or something. She was made to be an elite superhuman, and the project was cancelled. every amy was supposed to die. Her 'mother' smuggled her out and she remains a perfect Amy. Now there's tons of them!

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Penguin Classics)

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Mark Twain, Guy Cardwell, John Seelye I remember have to read it for 8th grade, and how it was written how people talked so there were funny contractions and stuff... I also remembered that while my teacher was reading it out loud she misspoke and accidentally swore instead of saying a similar word (I can't remember want it was though) it was overall and enjoyable book, and I enjoyed the funny language, but it made it harder to read an comprehend what was being said (aka more work for lazy 8th grade me to do)

Bleach: v. 6

Bleach, Vol. 06: The Death Trilogy Overture - Tite Kubo Well that was intense. Chad and what's her face have unlocked their awesome powers and Uryû has challenged Ichigo to a contest: who ever can kill the most hallows wins. But when Menos Grande (one hugeass hallows to end all hallows) shows up, they have a huge problem on their hands. Normally a team of elite soul reapers are sent out to possibly dispatch Menos. It's just 1 Soul Reaper and 1 Quincy to protect everyone! I love the greater depth into Uryû's past and him as a person etc. and ten he (hopfully) (appears to be) coming to Rukia's rescue at the end when she's attacked by and excursion team. Uryû is easy my new favorite character at the moment (him and ichigo are tied)

Bleach: v. 4

Bleach: v. 4 - Tite Kubo I really don't want to get into bleach because it's so long, but at the same time it's so good! Having KON finding out how difficult it is to run away and having the spirit specialist was hilarious. I loved the introduction of new characters into the series
